Hi, everyone,
Does Batik support xlink:title? I saw some discussion by Cameron
McCormack, Schepers, and others here
http://markmail.org/message/3kj3cxob5wi75p3s but don't really
understand the extent of the issue. I suspect this is related to
tooltips for <use> elements referencing symbols defined at the start
of the document. (I'm still trying to decipher the xlink system)
12 days ago I posted a question re: Tooltips won't show up over my
<use> elements, but no response. Maybe this indicates it can't be
done. I hope I'm not asking in the wrong forum, but I think it's
part of JSVGCanvas functionality. I've got tooltips working over
all of my basic shapes.
There's got to be a way to show a customized tooltip over a reused
symbol. Isn't this a common use of symbols with mapping? e.g. 5
identical symbols placed for, say, parks, but pop up the different
name of each park on mouseover.
Can anyone please give me a hint, or a workaround? I'd much
appreciate it. Batik has been pretty amazing for everything else
I've tried, but this issue leaves me scratching my head.
Thanks,
Dan Slater
