I wanted to pass along the announcement of a special Bay Area Clojure
User Group meeting in San Francisco this Wednesday evening. Rich
Hickey, inventor of Clojure, will be in town to speak at JavaOne and
we're having a get together of those interested in Clojure that is
open and free to all who are interested.

We'll have a small group of lightning presentations on Clojure work-in-
progress and techniques and then move on to a town hall style
discussion with Rich on the state and future of the Clojure language
now that it's reached its 1.0 milestone.

I know a lot of folks in the FP community have an interest in Clojure
owing to its functional base and interesting approach to concurrency,
so we wanted spread the word on this meeting.

More details, including location and such are here:
http://www.meetup.com/The-Bay-Area-Clojure-User-Group/calendar/10417495/

The important thing, if you want to come, is that you RSVP so we can
put your name on the list for security. Just drop me an email and I'll
add you to the list.

This should be a fun one!

Tom
