*today* (sorry for the late notice):

When: Sep 21, 2010 11:00 AM (PDT)

Title: A Thorough Introduction to WebSharper

Abstract:
In this talk, I will present the main motivations for WebSharper,
highlight some of its capabilities, and demonstrate how it can jump
start developer productivity in creating robust client-based web
applications entirely in F#. We will briefly look at Visual Studio
and ASP.NET integration; type-safe, composable formlets and flowlets;
programming against existing JavaScript technologies in F#; and
developing JavaScript proxies for .NET libraries. I will close with a
quick glance at some of the upcoming WebSharper 2.0 features and
improvements.

Speaker:
Adam Granicz is the CEO of IntelliFactory, the leading provider of F#
training, development and consulting services, and technologies that
enable rapid functional, reactive web development. He has over 6
years of experience using F# in research and commercial projects, and
works on WebSharper(TM), IntelliFactory's web development platform
that offers unrivaled productivity, a uniform programming model based
on F#, and the fastest way to develop robust, client-based Rich
Internet Applications. Adam is a key community member and an active
F# evangelist; the co-author of two F# books with Don Syme, the
designer of the language; a regular author in online F# media and
