I think I had the same problem. The conversion of the .bbdb from version
3
to 5 doesn't work correctly. The .bbdb file says it is version 5 but
indeed it is 4. So changing the file-version in the first line of the
.bbdb
from 5 to 4 should correct that problem. After doing so, BBDB will
convert
the file again, but than correctly to version 5 and everything should work
than. At least it does for me.
