Well, it isn't included in the standard BBDB distribution but the
Perl bbdb package that is included with the SyncBBDB package is able
to read and write any of the BBDB formats starting from, I believe,
version 3 of the bbdb file format.
Actually I don't even export a perl scrip to do this, but it's
literally 3 lines of Perl.
