Under emacs 19.27, I have the following problem using bbdb, rmail, and
font-lock-mode together. When bbdb changes the "last-subj" field to the
subject of the current message, the entry in the bbdb buffer is highlighted
the same as in the message body. This is fine, except that when I save, the
emboldened entry is corrupted, with things like "(face face-name)" stuck in
around it. For example, I get:

["Jamie" "Zawinski" nil nil nil nil ("[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]") ((timestamp . " 5
May 94") (last-subj . #("stick a fork in me: I'm done." 0 29 (face highlight2-bold))))
nil]

....then bbdb chokes the next time I startup.

Note that this does *not* happen using the rmail builtin via
(setq rmail-highlighted-headers "^Subject:")

My questions are:
  1. has anyone else seen this?
  2. has anyone got a fix?

My attempts were to try and get bbdb to turn off font-lock-mode at just the
right time (bbdb-change-hook) [?] to avoid the boldface in the bbdb buffer,
but I had no luck.

Thanks for any advice.
