I've been using BBDB for a couple of weeks now and was getting pretty
frustrated that I didn't have a completing-read function to use in the To:
field of msgs originated with VM. I finally took the time to come up with
something that works (please be gentle with the critiques of my elisp). I
put the following in ~/.vm and can get a BBDB completing read of
recipients with Control-C Control-F t:
(define-key vm-mail-mode-map "\C-c\C-ft"
'(lambda()
(interactive)
(mail-to)
(insert (bbdb-read-addresses-with-completion "Name/id: "))))
The following line added to ~/.vm allows completion of a partial name in
the To: field via ESC-TAB:
(define-key vm-mail-mode-map "\M-\t" 'bbdb-complete-name)
