Actually, I just got to my mail right now.  I am using the identical
setup (as far as any two BBDB 1.50 version can be), and have never come
close to that problem..

It may be a function of one of the other hooks that have done something
to the mail-aliases variable.  I do use the mail-abbrevs.el that comes
with bbdb (Last change 30-dec-93. jwz), and it seems just fine.
