I'm using Emacs 19.16 and bbdb-1.48 and it works very well. However,
I'm also using bbdb to store addresses, and sometimes, it is more
convenient to add all stuff (net, addresses, phones) using one
bbdb-create command instead of 5 C-o etc.

I've also hacked a new peace of code, which allows me to copy bbdb
records. This appears frequently, when I meet multiple representives
of a paritcular company, each handing me a business card. Then I add
one to the database and copy the stuff for the others. If somebody is
interested, I could email you the code.
