Thanks to all who answered my message, despite Sunday!
1) The new mail-extr.el fixes both the spontaneous entry to debugger on
some mail addresses, and the problem of anonymous addresses.
2) Fritz Knabe's set of patches fixes the ';' command with MH-E.
3) It seems that nobody has a fixed version of MH-E (there is some
version 4.0 mentioned somewhere, but not yet available?) for the problem
of choosing windows. Setting bbdb-pop-up-messages to nil is the only
solution presently available.
