I'm using mh-e version 4.1 that comes with lemacs.  That could explain
some problems I'm seeing.  My mh-show-message-hook works most of the
time, but not always.  I think I'll go back to using the mh-show-hook
instead.  That is, mh-show-message-hook set to nil and mh-show-hook
set to bbdb/mh-show-message.
