This is exactly why, I imagine, jwz was sorry he implemented it. As
soon as you change what was previously a default behaviour, you
trigger a deluge of complaints, no matter if it's fixable by changing
a single variable setting. Saying you can't see anyone complaining
about it being off is balanced by someone somewhere else saying they
can't see anyone complaining about it being on.
