I pulled down SyncBBDB-2.3 yesterday and had some problems trying to
run it on FreeBSD (4.3-RC).

At this point I'd just like a command-line way to sync. I typically
use "coldsync" and sometimes "pilot-xfer" to sync my Visor to FreeBSD;
I'm not ready to join the 1980's and get GUI yet.

So I installed the perl modules in my site_perl and tried the
"bootstrap" script. It wanted the PDA::Pilot module, so I found a
Linux tarball containing it and installed likewise. It now appears
PDA::Pilot wants a platform-specific binary which I don't have and
can't find (below I've renamed the perl script so as not to conflict
with any other "bootstrap"):

  chris@thanatos(255> syncbbdb-bootstrap
  Can't locate loadable object for module PDA::Pilot in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/libdata/perl/5.00503/mach /usr/libdata/perl/5.00503
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005
.) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/SyncUtil/ConduitHost.pm line 9
  BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/SyncUtil/ConduitHost.pm line 9.
  BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/SyncUtil/StandAloneHost.pm line 10.

It doesn't tell me the name of the loadable object it wants so I'm
kinda stuck. I can do Perl, but am not very hard-core on it. Any
suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks.
