bbdb [2.32] first-impressions:

s key: instead of saying "BBDB not saved", do like gnus:
"(No changes need to be saved)".

have a novice mode on by default that will give examples of what to
type when entering data via bbdb-create.
[I expected to be prompted with "e-mail address:", "website:
http://www."; ... ] "Phone Location (home, work...)
"Address description" is most confusing, so add example: (home, work...)
with TAB completion. Also even though one is prompted for
Net... Phone... that distinction isn't enforced as we see it in *BBDB*

Bind SPC to page thru the *BBDB* buffer, DEL to page back

remove regional bias in variable names: instead of
bbdb-north-american-phone-numbers-p
have (defvar phone-numbers-type 'north-american)

Zip code rename to Postal code...

I can get to the bbdb info node via "i", but C-h i has trouble seeing
it from node top... this is due to no "dir" file...

[oh, already in TODO:]
Doc says
`bbdb-default-area-code'
The default area code to use when prompting for a new phone number.
Default: 415. This must be a number, not a string.
Oh great, so I can forget about
(setq bbdb-default-area-code 04)
the closest I will get is "(004)". By the way, the default is not 415
anymore. Why not allow strings also? I want "04", somebody might
want "*7" ...

undo should work to restore a deleted record, say.

Taiwan postal codes can look like 42344. One would hope bbdb could be
made not to then assume I live in the USA... They can also look like
just 423, or 423-44.

docs says:
Basically this means that when you type space after
`M-x bbdb', your window configuration will be restored to what it
Huh? does he mean "q", not "space"?

One feels intimidated by the interface and would want to edit directly
the *BBDB* buffer... a command should enable that... ending with, say
C-c C-c

I hope there is a command to micro-print the database to make a
portable little black book. OK, P looks good except I don't know how
to configure TeX for Chinese, so I will use pr --columns=2 but there
should be a better command that at least adds "------" seperators and
pretty prints just like the tex one, but to a plain text file, which
would then be usable in places where TeX is not...

Let's say there's a disk crash and one saved the *BBDB* buffer to a
text file, but lost the .bbdb file. One would hope there was a
command to restore a .bbdb from a *BBDB* snapshot.
Or, your friend emails you what he sees in his *BBDB* but then goes on
vacation... you want to merge this image into your .bbdb ... hope
there is a way ready made. One hopes the snarf command can snarf
*BBDB*...
the TODO says:
   * Should have a command for merging together two divergent copies of
a `.bbdb' file (in case you read mail on one machine and news on
     another, for instance.)
maybe at least one could "import" and merge a *BBDB* buffer...

docs have an empty
"Example BBDB record"
