My emacs usage patterns are USA-based: I never use accented characters,
"foreign" (non-american) alphabets, etc. However, BBDB (with Gnus) keeps
track of things like that (german "beta", accents, etc). If I try to
complete a name that has such a character, things get complicated. For
instance, I have two records for Kai Gro�johann. So if I want to mail him,
I type "kai g" in the To: header, and hit TAB. I get:
Possible completions are:
Kai Gro�johann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Kai Gro�johann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
(email addresses changed, obviously).
The "To:" header changes to "kai gro" (the "ro" are added). So presumabely
the "beta" in the two name records is in some way different (since the
completion only goes to the first 'o'), but further, I can't keep typing to
get one of them (since I don't know how to enter the beta on my keyboard
setup).
Now, I _could_ bother to learn how to key in every character that emacs
knows about, but that seems unproductive, as that's a large set, and the
skill would rarely be used. OTOH, it would be nice if there was some
key-combo that would signify to bbdb that I want to simply cycle through
the possibilities on the To line (akin to bbdb-complete-name-allow-cycling,
but before the name part is done).
