If anyone feels like throwing me a patch to fix this properly, I'll gladly accept it. Fredrick (I think) already pointed out to me that the coding cookie in the file isn't updated to match changes in the coding-system variable, so I should probably fix that at least, but as previously mentioned, I hate coding systems.
