Again, I do not know much would would be reasonable / desirable here. Yet if I understand it correctly, this can be done similar to your previous patch by passing the real work to browse-url. So I expect that such an approach will be quite OK. Beyond phone calls and SMS, which require phone numbers, one could even think about other URI schemes that have the relevant information stored in some note field of the BBDB records. Yet here I know yet less what might be useful. Suggestions welcome.
