But then interactive calls of bbdb-mua-edit-field-sender cannot create new entries. The car (!) of this variable must be query or create to do that. That is exactly the unfortunate inconsistency I mentioned in my previous email. I think I mentioned in some previous email that it would be nice to have an independent prefix key for switching between the car and cdr of bbdb-mua-update-interactive-p so that this does not collide with the more ordinary usage of the prefix key by a command like bbdb-mua-edit-field-sender. But such an alternative prefix key would most likely collide with the key bindings of one or the other MUA.
