Break Text File Into Smaller Chunks:
Sorry.
It works great for me. I especially like that it adds links among
the various segments of text, which makes navigation much nicer.
iPod ebook creator works OK, as I found with some experimenting, as
long as I change my alphabetical listing to use Mac type (CR) line
endings before I submit the file. Since the list is kept in BBEdit,
and I use Unix type (LF) line endings by default, my first test with
iPod ebook creator didn't go well. Now that I know to use CRs
instead, it will suffice.
Thanks, Greg, for the tip and link.
And thanks to others who providfed Perl and other code. I'm going to
fiddle with that as well to see if I can come up with something
'local' instead of using the net-based iPod ebook creator.

Check out iPod ebook creator:
http://www.ambience.sk/ipod-ebook-creator/ipod-book-notes-text-conversion.php
It removes all line endings, turning my alphabetical list into one
long, run-on sentence.
