Hi,
I'm writing an AppleScript where I need to convert some German text to ASCII. I know there's a "convert to ASCII" option which swaps out the umlauts for the vowel+e, but sometimes I need to alter text written with word caps, as well as all upper case or all lower case. The "convert to ASCII" option seems to only use the lowercase e, even when the word is in upper case. Is there any way to make the "convert to ASCII" option more intelligent (for lack of a better description)? I'm running BBEdit v8.7.2 on OS X v10.4.11, if that's relevant.
