I've been learning how Mutliple Clipboards work in BBEdit. I'm
looking for cross-app solution in which I can deal with unlimited
number of clipbards and searching/filtering. An app called iShip
(http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17045) has been my best
solution, but the development seems to be inactive (i.e., the
official website is gone and download page is not found any longer.
If you want a bunch of snippets that you paste in, then possible
solutions include:
Keyboard Maestro (ours, not like I'm biased or anything), using
either the Clipboard Switcher or macros.
Yojimbo (Bare Bones, they are definitely not biased ;-), not sure if
it lets you paste with a hot key
BBEdit Glossary items (not cross-app)
TypeIt4Me (I used this for a long time, especially pre-X)
Other Macro programs can probably do it (QuicKeys, iKeys, etc)
There is also the multi-clipboard utilities, that let you have
multiple clipboards, rather than saved snippets. PTHPasteboard is
still my favorite, and slightly back from the dead now.

Enjoy,
Peter.
