1) BBEdit worksheets and the bbedit tool are my standard operating procedure. 2) Make hard links (man ln) to files that Steve, in his infinite wisdom, wants to keep away from ituners. Replace the leading dot with an underline in the link name. Those will show up in Finder windows and allow menu based selection and opening as you like. You will be editing the actual file. You can also make symbolic links to directories like /private/ where /etc actually resides. -- --> Life begins at ovulation.
