Hi All,
Sorry, it's late sunday evening... but,
If I run a textfactory on a path, ask it to save without
confirmation, and the only two things it does, is change the text
encoding & lineending (to unix/utf-8 no bom), then when I re-open the
document in BBE it does not open right - it does still seem to think
it's iso latin-1, although the chars are now messed up(so it did
change encoding). Reopen Using Encoding fixes it, and setting the
encoding manually (white diamond state appear) fixes it, and BBE re-
open it corretly from the Finder next time.
Now, If I do the process Manually: open doc in BBE, change line
endings & encoding + save + re-open = correct first time.
Why does this happen? Bug?
- I've seen the disclaimer about TF's & encoding, but BBEdit saves
the file, so it should be fine.. right? (file mod date changes ok!)
Any enlightning would be great...
