Dean,
Does BBEdit or Transmit leave tmp files?
I edited a document via Transmit directly to BBEdit 3 days ago.
Now the owner has mangled the file and wants to know if I have a backup!
I have not restarted my Mac since then, is there a chance that a tmp
file exists somewhere?
Hi Ted,
I did a mod through Transmit/BBEdit test. A File Buddy search for
invisibles found a transmit temp folder in
Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/Transmit that had been created but it was
empty :(
I had checked there as well, but mine is also empty.
I did have a new copy of the unmodified file in my BBEdit "Text Files:
Saving : Make backup before saving" folder. This is a real lifesaver and
worth having enabled for when you need to "go back".
To late for this file.
Thanks,
Ted
