There must be a name for lecturing people about how they should or
shouldn't post on a public mail list when you're not the list mom,
but I can't remember what it is, can you? :-)

It either means you should not post your answer at the top of the
message, or at the bottom, I can't recall which. It also has some
bearing on the amount of text you quote when you reply, the minimum
being preferred to the maximum. The safest bet is to reply
somewhere in the middle
