Make a new text window. Size it to the size you prefer. Choose "Save
Default Window" from the Window menu. New text windows will be made
at this size.

to dump them all in the top-level, I had to move them to the
"Universal"
folder to get them to be seen. Is there a work-around? I don't
personally need clippings for a huge variety of file types.
Even if you never use alternate clipping sets, clippings which should
be universally available should live in "Universal Items".
