I'm not sure if this would help opening "file groups" -- I'm not sure I even
understand what you're looking for, BUT... I wrote a tiny AppleScript that
tells BBEdit to open any number of window sets, and within each open all the
files within particular folders.

It's helpful for when I work daily on a php site that gets updated via svn...
so I can open one windowset with my class library include folder, another with
the files in the module I'm working on, etc. I'm sure the script could be
hacked easily to provide other customizations -- filter file names/types, a
folder-select dialog, etc.

If you're interested I can send you the script. (I'm assuming I can't attach
files to listserv emails, eh?)
