HTML Code Formatting

I'm evaluating BBEdit after years of working with Dreamweaver. My *one* 
obstacle is html code formatting. How do I prevent BBEdit from placing 
the <br /> tag on a new line when choosing Utilities > Format >Gentle 
Hierarchical
