is there a simple way (ie not reinventing the function in Applescript) to search for a file by name *ignoring* suffix? eg, if in a latex document I have stuff like this (it compiles all the named files in the list)

\chapter{Twining's talk of November 2004}
\include{TwiningEvidenceQns}
\include{TwiningEvidenceMulti}
\include{TwiningSeminar}
\include{TheEmailExchanges}
\include{SchumChallenge}
\include{BenthamDefence}
\include{Homeopathy}

But command D with the last filename highlighted won't find 'homeopathy.tex'. LaTeX will choke if I list the files *with* the suffix, BBEdit won't find them if I list them *without*!
any obvious workarounds?

cheers
