hello to all,

I have recently purchased my own BBEdit 8.5.1, till then I worked on my firm's version 7. What I have found is that command Find All in Multi-File Search takes a very, very long time to search my files in some site's folder.
The options I have made are:

Search nested folders
Text files only
Use file filter - File Name Ends With ".php"

Main folder I'm searching have 44 subfolders (in several levels) and they contains 106 php files. What happens is that "find all" progress windows stays for almost a minute on first file, waaaaay longer on second file, and than runs normal through all other files. Mac is Powerbook 12" (G4 867MHz with 1.12 GB RAM). BBEdit takes about 70% of CPU and CPU load is up to 3.37 (all other soft on Mac is relatively inactive during that time).

Few days ago I have left my Powerbook at work and had to change some stuff on a way smaller site, so I have installed BBEdit on my wife's old and small iBook (G3 600MHz with 640MB RAM) and the similar search was fast as should always be. I copied all files of that larger site on iBook and very same search was finished in some 6-7 seconds... on Powerbook about 4 minutes (doesn't take same amount of time every time, but always too long. And not only on that folder, on any folder.)

What can cause such behavior? Anyone had such experience?

Thank you,
Janko Belaj.
