Aha! Yes, that did it, thank you very much!

On further reflection it occurs to me that previously I was only testing in
BBEdit for the pattern's ability to match the correct strings, not for its
capture ability --- I only started doing that yesterday after the PHP
version stopped working.

However, according to CVS that's the same pattern I've been using in the PHP
code for several days now, and I know it was working on Monday. Maybe I
accidentally slipped something in that made it work then didn't save it or
something. Weird.

Anyway, works now :)
