however, coming back to this suggestion -- don't you know if there are any variables, which can be put to such a template and then replaced by real values, when edited in BBEdit?
something like that (taken from my old MicroEmacs :)):
Title: $FILE_BASENAME$ Author: $USER_NAME$ Created: $ASCII_TIME$
which could result in something like that:
Title: FileName Author: dsjkvf Created: 16:39:03
