Actually, A-Z aren't always fixed. Set your locale (primary
language) to Hawaiian, and log back in (which is the polite way to
get the Finder to relaunch) and observe the sort order in Finder
windows...
I may have missed this earlier in the thread, but can I control which
locale is used for sorting in the sort dialog in BBEdit?
