I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. If I try to ftp into a
domain that doesn't resolve, BBEdit seems to hang for upwards of a
minute before it times out. Wasn't Command-period intended as a
keyboard shortcut to cancel ongoing operations, rather than have
BBEdit dominate the mac? If i do something as silly as try to ftp
in, my system maintains the palettes I may have up (clippings, etc.)
overlaid upon other applications I might try to jump to while waiting
out the time-out.
I know the BBEdit coders wouldn't have left a process un-cancel-able
(did I just coin a word?), so I'm pretty sure this is a PICNIC item.
What's the keyboard shortcut to cancel a ftp operation such as
connecting to non-existent servers?
