I occasionally open a bunch of windows (24 in today's case), then realize I want Soft Wrap for all of them; the solution today was to close them all, clear the default, open them again (not so bad, as I just re-ran a couple 'for' loops), edit, then change the default again.

This should do it

tell application "BBEdit"
repeat with w in text windows
repeat with d in text documents of w
set soft wrap text of d to true
                end repeat
        end repeat
end tell

Thanks! Unfortunately, when I run that, BBEdit immediately complains about a -10000 AppleScript error. I'm trying it with 2 windows open; one dirty and one unsaved, although I don't see why that should matter.
