I feel a bit dumb about this but... some time back I installed
bbautocomplete. But I didn't get any use out of it, and got tired
of it cluttering up my dock, so some time later I took it out,
trashed it from wherever it was. Recently, BBEdit has started
asking "Where is BBautocomplete?" every time it starts up AND every
time it shuts down.
I can't find anything about bbautocomplete in the user manual or
with a google site-search of barebones.com. So, how do I make it go
away?
In You Library/Application Support/BBEdit folder, there is a folder
called 'Startup Items'. In it you'll probably find an item called
'Launch BBAutoComplete'. Remove that and all should return to normal.
You may want to purge your 'Shutdown Items' as well (There you may
have an item 'Quit BBAutoComplete').
BTW, you can prevent applications from appearing in the Dock by using
an application called 'Dockless'.
