Hi there --
In the process of updating a phpBB forum I was using Compare Frontmost
Documents to find any mods in the existing php or html that I want moved
to the updated pages, and I discovered that "new" and "old" when
comparing documents apparently does not follow the modification date of
the two docs, which is what I expected.
I have posted a screenshot at
<http://www.datatude.net/images_misc/newOldSwapped.png>
Notice that going by the modification dates (which I would presume is
what "Last Saved" means in the document toolbar area, correct??) are
4/26/06 in the left-hand document and 12/19/06 in the right-hand
document. The line currently highlighted in the Differences window says:
Extra lines in Old before 1131 in New. But the extra lines are in the
document with the latest Last Saved date.
Have I run up against a critter or am I just short in info re how this
works?
TIA for any light anyone can shed on this
kazar
