The 8.7.1 release notes say
In 8.7, the names and behaviors of some commands on the Search menu
were changed in order to provide a more consistent behavior model
and fit in better with other applications. Apparently, the world
wasn't quite ready for this, so the behavior has reverted to pre-8.7
standards.
I've searched the notes for 8.7 for "search," "find," "replace," and
"selection," and I can't find a reference to these behaviors. Where
can I find them described?
