Hi everyone,
I'm new to the list, and I'll just go ahead and apologize in advance if this is too simplistic of a question. I'm a grad student, and I've been using BBEdit to edit language transcripts that I have coded in various ways. I love being able to do find and replaces across multiple files, but I'm looking for a way to automate the process further. Specifically, I'm trying to find a way to export the output of my multi-file searches into an excel file or csv. My codes all follow the same format, so they're basically a code within brackets, attached to a word. So they look something like this: plane[G +S-:planned]. I've had a lot of success with GREP searches and whatnot, but when it comes to tallying up total number of codes for each transcript I wind up doing data entry in a separate spreadsheet.

If anyone has any thoughts, or any resources to point my way that might help, I'd definitely appreciate it!

Thanks so much,

Sarah
