At 02:41 p -0500 01/25/2008, McGonegal Robert didst inscribe upon an
electronic papyrus:
I was trying John Gruber's BBColors but once I get HTML, PHP and CSS
coloured the way I find most legible, it turns out Markdown files
are nearly unreadable. Kind of ironic, I know.

My problem is I don't understand using 1, 4 and 5 digit RGB notation
for RGB text colours. (it's not in the manual or on Gruber's site. I
only understand decimal and hexadecimal and had no luck with a
search).
Q1: Can anyone provide a link or a brief explanation of this notation?
1, 4 and 5? Hehehe. It's just 0-65535 range, the 16-bit version of
8-bit 0-255 range. The Mac has used 48-bit RGB color specs since
olden days. (I think it must've been chosen more for faithful
reproductions than for human retinas.)
Dunno about the 16 vs. 27 item thing.
