I can't believe that a simple UNIX Filter/Text Factory wouldn't do the job... Type your post. Run the filter/factory. Done. -- Obviously you'd have to write the filter/factory but your requirements don't sound that complicated. ("Leave headers alone, wrap the rest to 72 characters a line").
