I just purchased the upgrade (from BBEdit 8.7.2). When I try to start the program the icon bounces in the dock for a very long time (almost 90 bounces), and then it comes to rest, but the little light doesn't come on below it, and the program never opens. All I can do is click on the dock item and force quit.
So I switched to another user and tried to start it from there. It took a really long time to start up again, but eventually the icon stopped bouncing, the little blue light did come on, and the program opened. But when I return to my real user, no dice, even after trashing preferences and application support files. Just a long long wait, no blue light, no working program. I'm sending this to support as well. I need BBE to get my work done, so I guess I'll have to bring back 8.7.2 from Time Machine in the meantime.
