Has anyone else noticed that -- in BBEdit 9 -- Markup > Tidy > Reflow
Document... seems to be changing most HTML entities back to their
unicode character? Running Tidy on a document containing &eaccute;,
for instance, converts it to é. Doesn't do that with  , though.
(But &nbsp; is the only one I've found that <i>doesn't</i> get turned
back into unicode.

Sorta an easy workaround, though: just run "translate" after tidy, but
not before.
