Well, after completely un-installing Parallels Desktop (using the de- installer) and rebooting the Mac, quickly cycling through BBEdit Clipboards still duplicates contents of random clipboards randomly. It also wasn't Suitcase Fusion 2 Core - shutting that down had no effect.
But I found the culprit: LaunchBar 5 Beta - ClipMerge™: Combines subsequent Copy operations into one clipboard object. Silly me.
