We are pleased to announce the release and immediate
availability of BBEdit 9.1. This is a free update for anyone
using 9.0 through 9.0.2, and includes a number of new features,
refinements to existing features, and fixes for reported
problems. The high points of this new version are:
* Consolas is now baked into the application, licensed to us by
Ascender Corporation for use specifically with BBEdit. For those
of you who aren't familiar with it, Consolas is an excellent
monospaced font, designed for editing text and code. It's been
my personal favorite for a while. :-)
* The FTP/SFTP browser and "save to server" dialogs have been
completely redone. Also, the internal FTP (not SFTP) engine
has been rewritten for performance and compatibility.
* A new "file path" term for file filters (used for multi-file
searching, text factories, disk browsers, and -now- projects).
* Access to the Scratchpad from the command line and scripting
interface.
