BTW Having local changes in the document or not doesn't really affect
whether it should reload it or not.
Ideally if there are both local and foreign changes to a document
there should be a way to merge changes.

Imagine using two editors side by side editing the same document.
Sometimes you want the changes to go and other times you'd rather not.
Merging would definitely be the absolute best but at least asking
whether you want to load the file or not would be the next best thing.
