OK. Perhaps I'm confusing the 'issue.' I assume that a passive
connection is still being used, if you and the 'change' list say so.
But that is not the 'feature' I am asking about. My question concerned
the replacement of the previous, two click or key press saving dialog
to the current three click or key press method. At least the current
method uses the same 'enter/return' key. But the space bar is pretty
easy to hit, even for a two/thee fingered 'typist.'

My question was as much about why the procedure was changed as much
about it being changed. As an obvious non-power user, it was a little
startling to see a completely different series of dialogs the first
time I used the new version. OK, I didn't read the changes list. I
didn't have any thing about the 'old' version that needed
changing. :-) So, my original question remains; why was the method/
procedure changed? As I asked before, was it for security reasons? It
was obviously done intentionally and I will assume that the majority
of concerns expressed about this part of BBEdit wanted something
different. I suppose I should be happy just to know WHAT was changed
and get on with life! ;-)

Thanks for your help.
Sorry to have bothered anyone...I actually meant to add my questions
to another post on this same subject but didn't see any kind of
'reply' link except the "+ new post". Obviously, what I call a post to
a thread has a slightly different definition at Google...
Hope the rest of your year is even less difficult! 8-)
