Relogging is necessary to register any changes to the Services menu; however, there are a couple of other possibilities here: if you have a macro utility such as Keyboard Maestro, you can add a shortcut with it to invoke this item. <http://www.keyboardmaestro.com/> Alternatively, if you use Services often (or if, like me, you tend to accidentally hit any of the predefined key combos :-), there's a utility named "Service Scrubber" which allows you to directly enable & disable Service menu items and adjust their key equivalents. <http://www.manytricks.com/servicescrubber/> [...] > >Is there an easier way? >There should be and mousing to a menu item is not it. In general: To add content from outside BBEdit, you can invoke "Append Selection to Scratchpad" from the Services menu, or use a global AppleScript(*). To add content while you're in BBEdit, you can invoke this Services item, use a global AppleScript(*), or just open the Scratchpad window and drag or paste in the desired text. :-) (*: You can invoke AppleScripts from the keyboard using either a macro utility like Keyboard Maestro [above], or FastScripts: <http://www.red-sweater.com/fastscripts/> ) Regards, Patrick Woolsey == Bare Bones Software, Inc. <http://www.barebones.com> P.O.
