Bruce's language-specific color settings idea is a good one; that's exactly what I do. But I'll also add that while you cannot set the font based on source language or filename extension, you *can* set a different font for specific documents. BBEdit preserves each document's font setting when you have the Preferences -> "Text Files" - > "Honor saved state" -> "Font settings" checkbox enabled. As an aside, I really like BBEdit's language-specific preferences. But I hope someday Bare Bones will expand them further to allow even more language-specific settings, like font and line indention.
