I see- I have cvs in path and active:

$ which cvs
/usr/bin/cvs

$ env
...
PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin

Then I restarted bbedit, and the CVS menu came back! I must have had
the application open from prior to when I installed the Xcode suite.
